MANULIFE BENEFITS & PENSION CONTRIBUTIONS WHEN ON LEAVE

  • Employees on maternity can choose to continue Manulife Benefits by paying their portion of the premium. Please contact Gayle Semko, GSCS Benefit Administrator as soon as your apply for maternity leave.
  • Employees on Manulife LTD continue to receive Manulife benefits. Premiums are waived when on LTD.
  • Employees on Maternity leave or Long Term Disability Leave can choose to contribute to their pension plan (MEPP) during or immediately after these leaves.  For pension inquiries, the employee should contact MEPP at 787-2684 in Regina.

5:00 P.M. AT E.D. FEEHAN HIGH SCHOOL THEATRE

  1. On Friday, May 11th a small delegation from Local 2268 met with our Director Bev Hanson, Greg Chatlain and Al Boutin. At this meeting we were given an overview of the current concerns that the management team had around the budget short fall from the Provincial Government.
    1. At that meeting there were not that many details as the budget shortfall was up for discussion at the Boards GSCS Meeting on Monday, May 14th.
    2. Later in the day on the 11th the GSCS Board Chair Diane Boyko sent out a letter to the parents/guardians of the students in our care. That letter gave an overview of the current funding shortfall.
